MSA delivered as a solid

MercSelAs or MSA for Hg Re-emission? Oh yes.  It does that, too.

When MSA is added to the WFGD recirculation tank, it provides not just selenium wastewater outfall reductions, but Hg re-emission elimination.  Coupled-control, if you will, since customers who currently use additives for “Hg re-emission”, can discontinue its use.

There are numerous suppliers of chemical additives for the control of “Hg re-emission”.  MSA can replace them all.  And, since MSA is delivered as a solid, and is a chemical intermediary, the cost is quite favorable.

Why spend extra for a Hg re-emission additive that is a polysulfide, or an organic sulfide, when a simple sulfide works just as well?  You need ~1 ppb in the flue gas exiting the WFGD, not 30 ng/L in the wastewater outfall.  Why do you need a polysulfide for Hg re-emission?  Why do you need an organic sulfide for Hg re-emission?  Why not a simple sulfide, such as MSA?

Another benefit of using MercSelAs, MSA.
